In his latest monthly e-newsletter, George Fritsma reported the availability of 13 new education modules on The Fritsma Factor. Since his announcement, the number of modules has grown to 14! Each module lasts been 20 and 30 minutes and contains a wealth of information. View the list of modules.?

"In 2020 our Educational Module series was discontinued as Adobe withdrew their "vintage" Flash function. Thirteen updated modules have taken their place and are now available, with more to come. Our free modules augment entry-level hemostasis education and support advanced development of hemostasis expertise among medical laboratory scientists, clinical pathologists, internal medicine specialists, pharmacists, and many more health care professionals," explained George.

Today is World Hemophilia Day—an international day to raise awareness and understanding of hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. It's held each year on April 17, birthdate of Frank Schnabel, founder of the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH).

This year's theme is "Adapting to Change: Sustaining Care in a New World." While the past year brought a lot of changes, the resilience of the global bleeding disorders community did not waver. Precision BioLogic is proud to support and celebrate this community on World Hemophilia Day 2021 and reaffirm our commitment to developing innovative diagnostic solutions.

Precision BioLogic Inc., a leading developer of hemostasis diagnostic products, is pleased to announce the U.S. launch of its new CRYOcheck? Hex LA? kit. Expansion to the U.S. follows successful launches in Canada, the European Union, Australia, and New Zealand.

CRYOcheck Hex LA is intended for use in clinical labs to aid in the detection of lupus anticoagulant (LA) in human plasma. Hex LA is an integrated (screen and confirm) assay and, as its name suggests, applies hexagonal phase phospholipids. It is the first commercially available hexagonal phase LA test available in a frozen format, allowing for fast and easy preparation. Designed to work on many common automated coagulation analyzers, Hex LA offers valuable time savings to today’s busy labs.
